Lively Leeds is where city native Arthur Ransome was born in 1884 at 6, Ash Grove.
One reason to visit is the Library Festival which is from 3rd – 17th February 2018.
Among the performances, workshops and author events on 16th February is a lunchtime talk titled Wilde Ransomed which will uncover a literary legacy for which Ransome remains uncredited and will include the un-told story of Oscar Wilde and Alfred Douglas, a tale lost in scandal. Don’t miss it!
The talk will be accompanied by two films.
